It is always fun to work on a different project every now and then and when Rebecca asked us to design a layout, logo, tagline and digital graphics for her blog we were just peachy about it! We had so much fun designing and creating this new lifestyle blog, “The Peach Bellini – all the fun without the fuzz.”
Find out more behind the blog in our Q & A with Rebecca Wood – the sweet personality behind The Peach Bellini blog.
What made you decide to take the plunge in designing a professional blog from the start?
I have been an avid blog reader for longer than I care to admit. I knew from experience that my friends and I would only continue to look at blogs that were professional and well designed. Before even reading a word a visitor notices the visuals- the experience that you provide to them on your site.
What was the inspiration behind creating your blog?
I have always been a creative person and at the time I was working in a creative field. I wanted a place to channel all of my inspiration and energy. Coming up with the title was the hardest part! But after the name and the design, it all has just fallen into place.
What topics does your blog cover? What was your favorite part about the blog design process?
The Peach Bellini is a lifestyle blog. I write about fashion, my daily outfits, recipes that inspire me, crafts that I’ve done. My favorite part about the design process was how effortless it felt. After giving Brittany a few examples of other blog designs that I loved she knew exactly what I was going for and kept me in the loop the entire time. The design is definitely far better than anything I could have done and is better than anything I imagined!
What advice would you give to a new blogger looking to design a blog from the ground up?
Your blog design is the first step toward creating your brand. Know exactly what you want and don’t be afraid to go after it. Also, wanting to learn everything and do everything yourself is wonderful- but know when to ask for help. I know I wouldn’t be as happy with my blog design if I hadn’t had Brittany’s professional help.
What is your favorite blog post thus far?
My Favorite post is Vested-Interest. It was such a fun outfit to create and shoot. And it was received well on social media. It’s great to know others enjoy my posts as much as I enjoy creating them!
